The Tri-County Kentucky United Way Spirit 5K

The Tri-County Kentucky United Way Spirit 5K is a certified 5-kilometer course through Bardstown, Kentucky. The event includes both an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option. All event proceeds benefit the United Way programs that support education, financial stability, and health in Marion, Nelson, and Washington counties.

Registration fees and deadlines are published. Standard registration is listed at $20 per individual, with group pricing at $16 for groups of 20 or more and a family rate of $50 for up to four runners from the same household. Participants who register by September 20 are guaranteed a race shirt; the price increases to $25 after September 26 with no shirt guarantee. Virtual participants are not eligible for awards. Virtual swag can be picked up in Bardstown or mailed for an additional shipping cost.

Participant items and recognition include shirts for timely registrations and a special swag bag for the first 150 registered in-person runners. Awards include overall male and female awards with a $25 gift certificate each, trophies for first place male and female under age 21, a special Heaven Hill award for first place winners age 21 and over, and medals for the top three finishers in each age-and-gender category. Heaven Hill Brands will provide door prizes and a reception for participants.

Packet pickup is scheduled the day before and the day of the event at the Nelson County Civic Center, 321 South Third Street, Bardstown.
