Ragnar Road Bourbon Chase
The Ragnar Road Bourbon Chase is a team relay running event on October 2-3, 2026, that runs from Clermont, KY to Lexington, KY. The course covers about 206 miles through the rolling Bluegrass hills and countryside, and the route is subject to change as additional stops are added.
Teams run in relay format with average mileage of 17.2 miles per runner. Team options listed include:
- Standard Team: 12 runners, 2 days and 1 night.
- Ultra Team: 6 runners, 2 days and 1 night.
- Sprint Team: 6 runners, 1 day; sprint teams start at Exchange 24 and run relay style to the finish alongside Standard teams.
All runners must be 21 or older on race day. Published pricing for team types is available and includes registration fees.
Major exchanges reconnect Van 1 and Van 2 and feature festival-like activity with partner product sampling and demonstrations. The Start Line is at Jim Beam Distilling Company and the Finish Line is at Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company. Exchange 6 is at Maker's Mark Distillery and Exchange 12 is in the Town of Danville. An after party is hosted by Town Branch Bourbon and the finish area includes bourbon tastings and food trucks.
On-course stops and sampling opportunities include Jim Beam, Maker's Mark, Wild Turkey, Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company, Bluegrass Distillers, Yellowstone / Limestone Branch, and several other distilleries and venues. Each team receives partner samples, a captain's gift, team medals, and team finisher shirts; pre- and post-race meal tickets are offered.
