Sorghum Shuffle 5K
The Sorghum Shuffle is a 5K running race held in downtown Springfield at 124 West Main Street, Springfield, KY 40069. The course distance is 5K (3.1 Miles). The event takes place in October 2026; sources list early October dates.
The race is part of the United Way Tri County Trifecta alongside the United Way Spirit 5K in Bardstown and the Pokey Pig 5K in Lebanon. Participants who complete all three events receive additional swag. The Tri County Trifecta is sponsored by Tri County Kentucky United Way.
Registration pricing is specified by date: $20 for individuals on or before September 21, 2026, and $25 for individuals after that date. Kids age 9 and under run free; the free entry does not include a T shirt. Registered participants receive a Sorghum Shuffle T shirt if registration is completed by September 21, 2026; T shirts are not available after the order deadline.
Packet pickup is at the start/finish line in front of the Main Stage on Main Street in Springfield.
Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers and to the top male and female finishers in these age categories: 12 and under, 13-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-55, and 56 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
