Trackrun 5000m PB Series
Trackrun is a timed 5000 m running event held on an athletics track at Collingwood Athletics Track in Clifton Hill, Melbourne. It is organised by Love the Run volunteers and presented as an open, welcoming and inclusive opportunity for runners to race on the track without club membership. Results are unofficial and recorded so participants can track progress.
The 2026 Winter 5000 m PB series runs monthly with rounds in April, May, June, July, August and September 2026, with specific weekend dates published for each round. Each round uses the same distance and venue so runners can compare performances over time.
Entries are open up until each heat starts and the entry fee is $15 per round to cover track hire, event costs and insurance. Heats are seeded and extra heats are scheduled as required. On arrival runners pick up a bib number token from the finish area and keep it while they run. Lap counting is the responsibility of the runner; organisers count laps for the lead runner and ring a bell for the final lap. At the finish runners slide their bib number tokens onto the race result stick in order to assist result recording. Results are published online via Webscorer.
