Sri Chinmoy Yarra Boulevard Half Marathon, 10km & 5km
The event offers three measured road race distances on a scenic circuit along Yarra Boulevard in Richmond. The course is a 5km closed-road loop that follows the gentle curves of the Yarra River. The 5km and 10km races are run as one or two laps of this circuit; the half marathon includes a short additional 1.1km loop at the start before completing four laps.
Distances:
- Half Marathon (21.1 km), includes a 1.1 km start loop and four laps
- 10 km, two laps of the 5 km circuit
- 5 km, one lap of the 5 km circuit
The course is traffic free and accurately measured to AA standards, with kilometre markers and drink stations every 2.5 km offering electrolyte and water. Chip timing with live online results is used and net (mat) time determines placings.
Facilities at the venue include first aid provided by St Johns Ambulance and toilets at the Kevin Bartlett Reserve start/finish area. Parking is available inside the venue at Kevin Bartlett Reserve; parking on Yarra Boulevard is not permitted to keep the road clear for runners.
Awards are presented by age group with first to third medals for male and female finishers in categories from U15 through 80+. Minimum age rules apply for each distance, for example half marathon competitors must meet an 18 years minimum and 10 km competitors must meet a 16 years minimum.
