About the race
The Sri Chinmoy Yarra Boulevard event in Richmond, Melbourne, features three road race distances on a measured, traffic-free circuit along Yarra Boulevard. The venue uses a scenic 5 km closed road loop that follows the gentle curves of the Yarra River.
Distances:
- Half marathon (21.1 km) with a short 1.1 km add-on at the start then four laps of the 5 km circuit.
- 10 km completing two laps of the course.
- 5 km completing one lap of the course.
The course is AA measured and marked every kilometre. Drink stations are positioned every 2.5 km and provide water and electrolyte. Chip timing with live online results is used and placings are calculated by net (mat) time. Race numbers are collected on race morning at the venue. First aid is provided by St Johns Ambulance and toilets are available at the start/finish area at Kevin Bartlett Reserve.
Parking is available inside Kevin Bartlett Reserve; parking on Yarra Boulevard is not permitted to keep the road clear for runners. Early finishers have an exit route via Swan Street. Age-group medals are presented for male and female placings in categories from U15 up to 80 plus, and minimum age requirements apply to each distance.
