Town of Bridgewater "Race to the Bottom" 5k
The Town of Bridgewater "Race to the Bottom" is a 5K run and walk held on Labor Day, September 7, 2026, at Sandy Bottom Park, 602 East College Street, Bridgewater, Virginia. The course begins and ends at Sandy Bottom Park, which includes the town miniature golf course and a par 3 course.
The event is open to participants of all ages and includes awards for overall winners and age group winners. T shirts are guaranteed for those registered by August 16, 2026; after that date T shirts are available while supplies last.
Online registration opens May 4, 2026. Pre registration fees through August 16 are $15 for ages 17 and under and $25 for ages 18 and over. After August 16 fees increase to $20 for ages 17 and under and $30 for ages 18 and over. Online registration remains available through race day on September 7, 2026.
All participants may play miniature golf and par 3 golf for free on event day by showing their bib number; this benefit extends to family members who accompany a participant. The event is presented in partnership with the American Cancer Society and donations are accepted during registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
