JMU 9/11 5K - Honoring Student Heroes
The event is a campus 5K at James Madison University East Campus on Sunday, September 6, 2026. VA Momentum and JMU Valor are collaborating to commemorate September 11 and to honor student heroes. The event also aims to support student veterans and first responders through a unified campus and community effort.
The course is a scenic route on east campus and the race is chip timed. Runners and walkers are welcome. Packet pickup is available on the event day next to the start/finish line from 7:30 to 8:45 am.
Registration offers a launch discount and a regular price. Launch discount rates are $25 for non-students and $10 for current college students and children 17 and under. Regular prices are $30 for non-students and $15 for current college students and children 17 and under. August 25 is the deadline to be guaranteed an event shirt; after that date remaining shirts are distributed on a first come, first served basis. The last day to register online is September 5 at 5 pm.
