Toughest 10K Galveston

The Toughest 10K Galveston is a running event located in Galveston, Texas, serving as the second race in the Texas Bridge Series. The course primarily features the flat terrain characteristic of southeast Texas, with a specific focus on crossing the Galveston Causeway.

Participants follow a route that begins at the Galveston County Daily News offices. The course leads runners northbound across the bridge structure to Tiki Island. After reaching the island, the route loops back, requiring a second crossing of the causeway to return to the starting area.

The primary feature of this race is the 72-foot tall causeway, which presents a 3.5% grade for participants to navigate during both the outbound and return segments of the run. The event is available in two formats:

  • 10 km (6.2 miles) on-site running race
  • 10 km (6.2 miles) virtual race

Those who register for the virtual option are not eligible to participate in the live, in-person event. The on-site race starts and finishes at 8522 Teichman Road. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
