Too Hot To Handle
Too Hot To Handle is a road race held on September 12, 2026 at Norbuck Park in Dallas, Texas. The event features multiple race options and a virtual entry that allows participants to run on their own schedule and location.
The event offers the following distances:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K
- 5K
- Virtual option with mailed packet
Courses are described as fast and flat and run around White Rock Lake. The in-person courses are USATF certified. Pace groups are offered for the half marathon with target finish paces from 1:45 up to 3:45, provided by Run Project Pacers.
Participant items and on-course services include custom tech shirts or tanks, custom finisher medals, custom bibs, hydration and gels on the half marathon course, bag check, a beer garden for participants age 21 and over, and an after party. Virtual participants receive a custom tech shirt and medal; virtual results can be uploaded between July 11, 2026 and October 17, 2026 and virtual packets are scheduled to ship beginning the week of July 13, 2026.
Packet pickup is scheduled the week before the race at local running stores in Fort Worth, Southlake and Plano and at Norbuck Park on the event weekend. Awards are given to overall and masters finishers plus top three finishers in multiple age groups and must be claimed in person. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
