2026 Too Hot To Handle 5K, 10K & Half

The Too Hot To Handle event is a long-standing running tradition in Dallas, Texas, now entering its 31st year. The race takes place at Norbuck Park and features courses that utilize the scenic areas surrounding White Rock Lake. The event offers several distance options to accommodate different preferences:

  • 5 km
  • 10 km
  • Half-Marathon (13.1 miles)
  • Virtual Run

The courses are described as fast and flat. Participants in the Half-Marathon have access to pace groups, as well as hydration and gels provided along the route. All on-site courses are USATF certified.

Registered participants receive several amenities, including a custom tech tank, a finisher medal, and a custom bib. The event features an after-party with music and a beer garden for those over 21. Standard services such as bag check are available on-site. For those choosing the Virtual Run option, a custom tech shirt and medal are shipped to the participant, who can complete their distance at any location.

The event supports various organizations through fundraising efforts, including the Animal Rescue Crusaders of North Texas, Rainbow Days, and Girls on the Run DFW.
