Event Details
A post-race awards ceremony is scheduled. Pie is offered to participants at the finish line. The 5K is a timed event. The course is described as flat. The event supports the Grand Prairie United Charities Food Pantry, and participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations, with peanut butter and canned meats noted as high-need items.
A youth event is available for children aged 5 to 12. Parents are permitted to accompany their children during this run. Participants in this 1K receive a race bib, a finisher award, and post-race snacks.
Registration for the in-person 5K includes a race t-shirt and finisher's medal, though shirt availability is noted as first-come, first-served with an order cutoff date. A virtual participation option is also available. Parking at Mike Lewis Park is free. The race day schedule includes packet pickup and registration starting at 7:00 AM, a warm-up at 7:30 AM, the youth 1K fun run at 7:45 AM, and the 5K start at 8:00 AM.
