Plano Turkey Trot
The Plano Turkey Trot is a community sports event held on Thanksgiving morning in Plano, Texas. The event takes place at 2801 E Spring Creek Parkway and offers various participation options for runners and walkers. Participants can choose between competitive timed events or casual untimed formats.
The following distances and categories are available:
- 5K timed run/walk
- 5K untimed run/walk
- 5K Kid's Division Fun Run (ages 11 and under)
- 100m Kids Dash (ages 8 and under)
- 5K Virtual Run
The 5K Kid's Division Fun Run registration includes an untimed bib and a donut at the finish line. For the youngest participants, the 100m Kids Dash provides a short course where all finishers receive a ribbon upon completion. Additionally, all participants in the general 5K events receive a donut at the finish line as part of the Thanksgiving morning tradition.
