The Plano Turkey Trot is a chip-timed community running event held in Plano with a primary 5K on paved paths and streets. The start and finish are located at Red Tail Pavilion - South Parking Lot, 2801 E Spring Creek Parkway. Toilets are available at the start/finish line.

Packet options include mailing for a fee or on-site pickup at pre-event locations. Participant gear includes a runner’s choice of premium fleece hoodie or a long-sleeve shirt. Purchased finisher medals and participant gear must be picked up or will incur mailing fees.
The event supports The Source of Hope, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Shipley Do-Nuts are provided at the finish line. Results, photos, and awards are posted after the race; awards go to the top three male and female finishers in each age group and overall. Age groups begin at 10 & under and extend in five-year increments through 70+.
Logistics note: limited free parking is available near the amphitheater; additional off-site parking is located at Collin Community College Spring Creek campus. All water stations provide water. There is no gear check on site. Dogs are not allowed. Strollers are permitted for walkers and joggers only, and a signed waiver is required for children in strollers.
