Event Overview
The Too Cold to Hold event takes place in Dallas, Texas on January 30, 2027. The event is organized by Run Project.

Participants can register for one of the following distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K

Location and Course
The race starts and finishes at Norbuck Park (200 N Buckner Blvd, Dallas, TX 75218). The course is set along the scenic paths of White Rock Lake. Interactive and downloadable course maps are available for each distance.
Schedule and Timing
Packet pickup is available in the days before the race at multiple running stores and at the venue on race day. On January 30, registration and packet pickup opens at 6:30 AM. The half marathon and 10K start at 8:00 AM, and the 5K starts at 8:15 AM. The course closes at 11:45 AM. Pace groups are provided for the half marathon, targeting finish times from 1:45 to 3:45.
Registration and Swag
Registration includes a long sleeve tech shirt, a custom race medal, and a race bib. Pricing is tiered and increases as the race date approaches. Group discounts are available for groups of four or more, and for participants aged 8 and under or 65 and older.
Awards and Series
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, the top overall masters finishers, and the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups. Run Project offers a Half Finisher Medallion for participants who complete any of their five half marathons.
Additional Information
A free social run is hosted before the race. Girls on the Run DFW is the featured charity partner. Volunteers can sign up for various roles including course monitor, water stop volunteer, and packet pickup. Photos from the event are available online.
