Titletown Turkey Trot
The Titletown Turkey Trot is an annual community event held on Thanksgiving morning in Danville, Kentucky. The race takes place at the Boyle County High School Rebel Stadium and marks its fifth anniversary in 2026. The event serves as a memorial for Deangelo Durham, with proceeds supporting a scholarship program.
Participants can choose from two distinct distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
The courses consist of paved roads and walking paths that begin on the turf of the high school football field and continue through Millennium Park. The start and finish lines are located at the 50-yard line of the stadium. The 5K is a chip-timed race suitable for runners and walkers. The 1 Mile Gobble Wobble is an untimed fun run and walk.
The event is open to a variety of participants, including children, strollers, and dogs on fixed-length leashes. All registered participants receive a branded long-sleeve shirt and a commemorative finishers medal. The race includes music, professional event photography, and a Thanksgiving themed photo area.
For the 5K distance, awards are presented to the top three male and female overall finishers based on gun time. Awards are also provided for the top three male and female finishers in 10 year age categories ranging from under 9 to over 80 years old. Parking is available on-site at the high school.
