Hometown Half Marathon & 5k/10k - Colorado Springs
The Hometown Half Marathon & 5k/10k is a local-themed running event held at Norris Penrose in Colorado Springs. The event provides multiple distance options for participants, ranging from long-distance courses to shorter dashes. The half marathon includes pacer support for runners.
The following distances are available:
- 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
- 6.2 miles (10k)
- 3.1 miles (5k)
- 1 mile (Untimed)
- 50 meters (Kid's Dash)
The half marathon, 10k, and 5k events are chip-timed with live results and awards provided. The 1 mile run and the 50 meter kid's dash are untimed events. Children aged 10 and under can participate in the kid's dash, and there is an option for children to run without accessories at no cost.
Participants in the timed and untimed races receive a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal. To guarantee a shirt, registration must be completed by the Thursday two weeks before the event. Free photos are available for all participants, and food is provided at the finish line. A virtual participation option is also available, where runners can complete their chosen distance at a separate location and receive their materials by mail.
