Event Overview
The Valkyrie Trail Race is a women-focused trail running event held in Cheyenne Mountain State Park, Colorado Springs. It takes place on May 9, 2026.

The event offers several trail running distances:

- Half Marathon (21.1 km)

- 50K (50 km)
The courses start in open meadows on crushed limestone before transitioning to winding singletrack. The terrain includes climbs toward ridgelines, descents into pine-shaded canyons, and rocky, technical paths. The courses feature expansive views and vary in elevation.

- The highest point on most courses is 6,873 feet (2,095 m).
Runner Information
Registration includes entry to Cheyenne Mountain State Park, a custom race shirt, and a finisher's medal. The event uses a cupless system at aid stations, so runners must bring their own reusable cup or bottle. Runners are required to attach their timing chip to their shoe.
Schedule and Logistics
Packet pickup is available the day before the race at the Colorado Running Company in Colorado Springs. Limited packet pickup and registration are also available on race morning at the starting line beginning at 6:15 a.m. The event features a staggered start by distance on race morning.
