Valkyrie Trail Race
Valkyrie Trail Race is a women focused trail running event held at Cheyenne Mountain State Park near Colorado Springs, Colorado on May 9, 2026. The event offers multiple distances to run on a mix of crushed limestone meadows and winding singletrack that climbs toward ridgelines, then descends into pine shaded canyons and rocky technical sections with expansive views in spring.

Course elevations range from about 6017 feet to 6873 feet for most distances, with the 4 Mile course topping near 6302 feet. Elevation gain varies by distance, reaching up to 4259 feet on the 50K. Aid stations are cupless; runners must bring a reusable cup. Water dispensers will be available at each aid station and at the start and finish. Mad Moose Hydrapak cups are available for purchase during online registration.
Packet pickup for race materials and shirts is scheduled the day before at Colorado Running Company in Colorado Springs. Registration includes entry into Cheyenne Mountain State Park.
