Take 5 in the Garden - Garden of the Gods Park
Take 5 in the Garden is a road and trail running event held in Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado Springs on May 1, 2027. The event uses roads that are closed to traffic so runners pass directly among the park's red rock formations, including the Siamese Twins, Kissing Camels, and Balanced Rock with Pikes Peak visible in the background.
Distances offered include:
- 5K road course
- 5 Mile road course
- 5 Mile trail course
- Double Take 9.5 Mile road and trail combination
Each course lists elevation and aid information. Course elevations range between 6266' and 6540'. Reported elevation gain and loss by course include the Double Take (gain 1065', loss 1073'), 5 Mile road (gain 646', loss 646'), 5 Mile trail (gain 482', loss 486'), and the 5K (gain 325', loss 325'). Aid stations are provided on course: 1 on the 5K, 4 on the 5 Mile road course, 3 on the 5 Mile trail course, and 7 on the Double Take.
The start and finish are located on Gateway Road off of 30th Street. Packet pickup is scheduled at Colorado Running Company the day before the event.
