St. Thomas the Apostle School Tiger Trot
St. Thomas the Apostle School in Delmar, NY hosts an annual community running event featuring a 5K and a Kids Race. Entry fees vary by registration period: early registration through August 15 is $20, regular registration from August 16 to September 17 is $25, and day-of-race registration on September 19 is $30. Online registration closes September 17, 2026. All race fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Packet pick up is available the day before the race, September 18, at St. Thomas School from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, and there is packet pick up on race day. Entries are final; no refunds or transfers are permitted.
Distances offered:
- 5K
- Kids Race: quarter-mile loop or half-mile loop
Awards include prizes for the top three overall female and male finishers and age-group awards in 10-year increments beginning with 19 and under. The Kids Race is free for ages 12 and under, and all children who participate receive an award. The Kids Race begins after completion of the 5K.
Race rules note that bicycles, skates, and animals are not allowed. The use of headphones is strongly discouraged. The course is open to other runners, walkers, cyclists, and vehicles, so participants should stay aware of their surroundings. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
