Our Towne Bethlehem Turkey Trot 5K
The event is a community 5 kilometer run and walk hosted by Our Towne Bethlehem at the American Legion in Delmar, NY. It is presented as a Thanksgiving community tradition with family-oriented activities and refreshments.
All registrations are general admission and start together. There is no official timing for the event, though a large time clock will be present. The event welcomes runners, walkers, strollers, dogs, cats, and children. Prizes are awarded for first place female and male, first place pet, first place stroller, best costume, youth prizes, and additional categories.
Participants who register by November 19 are eligible to receive the official 2026 Turkey Trot t shirt; pickup is scheduled the day before the event at TAP20 in Delmar. Registered adults aged 21 and over receive a discount on draft beer at the t shirt pickup; drink tickets are valid only at that pickup event.
Proceeds benefit the Bethlehem Community Fund, which provides local assistance including medical care, food, shelter, and the BCSD Back Pack Program. The event also partners with Grassroots Givers to collect toiletries, tube socks for men and women, and children s books for distribution to local shelters and charities.
Parking and viewing areas are listed near Elm Avenue Park and nearby lots, and a fireworks show is planned at Elm Avenue Park the evening before the trot. Refunds are available up to seven days before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
