Ellis Medicine Cardiac Classic
The Ellis Medicine Cardiac Classic is a community road-event held at Central Park in Schenectady on Thanksgiving morning. The 2026 edition is the 45th annual running of the event and is organized by the Foundation for Ellis Medicine with support from local sponsors.
The event offers both in-person and virtual participation. In-person participants have event-day amenities and support; virtual participants complete their 5K on their own schedule and location. Participants who register by November 6 are expected to receive a race shirt by race day.
The event program includes these distances and options:
- 5K Road Race
- Wellness Walk (2 miles)
- Kids Fun Run (1 mile)
Entry fees are stated as follows: in-person 5K runners $35, wellness walkers $25, kids fun run free, and virtual 5K runners $30. Packet pickup details will be provided later.
A clothing drive runs with the event; donations of shirts, pants, jackets, socks, and undergarments are accepted, and new items with tags may be brought to the event or donated online. Strollers and dogs are permitted only on the Wellness Walk; dogs must be cleaned up after. The event location is Central Park, Schenectady, New York, on November 26, 2026.
