Thirsty Thursday 5K
Thirsty Thursday is a series of timed 5K pub runs sponsored by Good News Brewing and Fleet Feet St. Louis. The series takes place one Thursday each month from April through October and is held on the Katy Trail from Good News Brewing in Defiance, Missouri.
Each event is a professionally timed race using an out and back course on the Katy Trail. The series uses an open start line format to allow staggered arrival times and a low stress check-in process. The organizer adds age groups to the leaderboards for 2026.
All registrants age 21 and older receive a complimentary beer from Good News Brewing after the race. Good News Brewing offers extended bar hours and a pizza buffet for purchase on event days. The series also offers event swag for purchase during registration. For 2026 the organizer lists changes including removal of processing fees and a loyalty program.
