Thirsty Thursday 5K
Thirsty Thursdays is a monthly series of timed 5K pub runs sponsored by Good News Brewing and Fleet Feet St. Louis. The events take place one Thursday each month from April through October and are held on the Katy Trail with the start at Good News Brewing in Defiance, Missouri.
The course is an out and back on the Katy Trail. Races are professionally timed and use an open start line format to accommodate varied arrival times and simplify check-in.
All registrants aged 21 and older receive a free beer from Good News Brewing after the run. Good News Brewing will offer extended bar hours and a pizza buffet available for purchase. Event apparel and other swag are available for purchase during registration.
For 2026 the series adds features including no processing fees, a loyalty program, and age group categories on the leaderboards. The event combines a timed trail run with post-run beverage and food options at the brewery. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
