Thirsty Thursday 5K
The Thirsty Thursday 5K is a series of timed 5K pub runs held one Thursday each month from April through October. Each event is professionally timed and uses an out-and-back course on the Katy Trail, starting from Good News Brewing in Defiance, Missouri.
The event uses an open start line format to allow for commute times and low-stress check-in. All registrants aged 21 and older receive a free beer from Good News Brewing. Good News Brewing offers extended bar hours and a pizza buffet available for purchase after the run. Event organizers also offer event swag for purchase during registration.
Changes announced for 2026 include removal of processing fees, the addition of a loyalty program, and the inclusion of age groups on leaderboards. The series is sponsored by Good News Brewing and Fleet Feet St. Louis. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
