Thirsty Thursday 5K

Thirsty Thursday 5K is a series of timed 5K pub runs sponsored by Good News Brewing and Fleet Feet St. Louis. Events are held one Thursday a month from April through October on the Katy Trail, starting at Good News Brewing in Defiance, Missouri.

The course is an out and back on the Katy Trail and uses an open start line format to allow for commute times and low stress check-in. Races are professionally timed. All registrants 21 and older receive a free beer from Good News Brewing for post-race refreshment. Good News Brewing will offer extended bar hours and a pizza buffet available for purchase after the event.

The 2026 series adds features including no processing fees, a loyalty program, and age groups on the leaderboards. Event registration includes options to purchase event swag during registration.
