Event Overview
The 370 Lakeside Triathlon is a USAT-sanctioned multi-sport event held at 370 Lakeside Park in Saint Peters. The competition features a beach start at the park's lake, followed by a bike course through the rural roads of St. Charles County, and concludes with a run on flat park trails. Race Options
Participants can choose from a wide array of categories across several distances:
- Half Distance: 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, and 13.1-mile run. Options include Triathlon, Aquabike, Duathlon (5k run / 56-mile bike / 13.1-mile run), Aquathlon, and Relay.
- Olympic Distance: 1.5k swim, 40k bike, and 10k run. Options include Triathlon, Aquabike, Duathlon (5k run / 40k bike / 10k run), Aquathlon, and Relay.
- Sprint Distance: 750m swim, 23k bike, and 5k run. Options include Triathlon, Collegiate, High School, Aquabike, Duathlon (2-mile run / 23k bike / 5k run), Aquathlon, Relay, and Paratriathlon.
- Super Sprint Triathlon: 300m swim, 23k bike, and 2-mile run.
- 5K Run/Walk: A standalone running event on the park trails.
Logistics and Regulations
As a USAT-sanctioned event, all athletes must hold a USAT membership or purchase a one-day pass. Transition areas are organized by race number, and specific cut-off times are enforced for each distance to ensure course safety. For the triathlon segments, the swim uses a wave start where athletes enter the water four at a time every five seconds. Wetsuit use is determined by water temperature on race morning according to USAT guidelines.
Athlete Amenities
Registered participants receive a long-sleeve hooded shirt, a swim cap for swimmers, and a finisher medal. The event provides live race results and professional photos.
