The Labor Day Slay
The Labor Day Slay is a multi-distance running and ruck event held at Queeny Park in St Louis, Missouri. The course uses the park's shady rolling trails and returns to Racers Village at the Smith Pavilion. The event is organized by Rockinator Racing.
Available distances:
- 5K - one lap on the marked trail course.
- 10K - two laps on the marked trail course.
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles) - four laps on a color-coded course.
- 10K Ruck - two laps on the 10K course with a ruck sack.
Race services and features include professional chip timing, an aid station positioned every lap at 3.25 miles, fully marked course, podium awards with top-three age-group recognition, free finish-line photos and video, event T-shirt, a race backpack, finishers medals, and a commemorative sew-on patch for ruck participants. The 10K Ruck specifies a minimum ruck weight for awards (20 lb for females, 30 lb for males) and a scale will be available on site.
Registration opens on 2025-05-20. Most events close registration on 2026-07-30; the 10K Ruck closes on 2026-08-05. Entry fees listed by event include $39 for the 5K, $59 for the 10K, $79 for the half marathon, and $69 for the 10K Ruck.
