The Labor Day Slay
The Labor Day Slay is a multi-distance trail event at Queeny Park in St Louis on August 29, 2026. The event starts and finishes at Racers Village near the Smith Pavilion and uses marked, color coded trails through shady, rolling terrain.
Distances offered:
- 5K one lap course returning to Racers Village
- 10K two laps with a timing mat for lap splits
- Half Marathon four laps with lap timing and repeated aid access
- 10K Ruck two laps on the same 10K course with a weighted ruck
Participants receive a custom finisher medal, a commemorative T shirt, and a Rockinator Racing backpack. Professional chip timing is provided and a timing mat records lap crossings on multi-lap distances. Aid station access is available each lap, noted at roughly 3.25 miles. The 10K Ruck requires a minimum ruck weight for award eligibility: 20 pounds for participants 150 pounds or less and 30 pounds for participants 151 pounds and above; a scale will be available on site.
Podium awards are given to the top three in each age group for all events with free finish line photos and video available for download. Packet pick up is scheduled race morning from 6:15 to 7:15. The event is organized by Rockinator Racing and supports the Rockwoods School District Cross Country program. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
