Be a Hero takes place on August 30, 2026, at 13236 Streetcar Dr, Saint Louis, MO 63146. The event day includes multiple running options and family-oriented activities on site.
The program includes a 5K fun run/walk, a Kids Dash for ages 10 and under, and a virtual 5K. The 5K is untimed and open to participants at any pace. Each participant receives a medal; every child entrant receives a finisher prize. Medals for virtual participants are shipped the Wednesday after the event.
On-site features listed for the day include a face painting station, free children's books, light refreshments, and a costume-friendly atmosphere. The organizer is also seeking vendors to participate.
Registration opens May 26, 2026, and closes August 15, 2026. Published registration fees are $45.00 for the 5K, $25.00 for the Kids Dash, and $45.00 for the virtual 5K.
