The Haunted Forest Marathon Weekend
The event in Canal Fulton, Ohio is a themed, family friendly running weekend that includes a full marathon, a half marathon, and a 5K. The venue address is 123 Tuscarawas St NW.
The course begins with the first mile on the road and uses hard packed crushed limestone and blacktop for the remainder. The marathon covers 26.2 miles with a total elevation gain of 57 feet. The marathon course is eligible for Boston qualification; 18% of the 2025 marathon participants qualified for Boston. Runners who achieve Boston qualification on race day receive a second medal.
Registration for the events opened and closed on 10/31/2025. Listed registration fees were $65 for the marathon, $55 for the half marathon, and $35 for the 5K. The organizer notes that the 5K and the half marathon are sold out and that the number of medals and bibs for those events equals the number of registered runners.
Awards are handed out on a rolling basis throughout the morning. The 5K course is new. The event includes a "Smash the PR PUMPKIN" activity for runners who achieve a personal best on the course. Marathoners who drop down to the half marathon receive the marathon medal and are reclassified as half finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
