Event overview
The Regal Beagle Ultra in Akron, OH offers three distances:
- 50K
- 25K
- 5 Mile
The course is a loop layout through Bath Nature Preserve and Bath Community Park. Terrain includes paved and gravel roads, dirt and grass trails, wetlands, woodlands, and rolling hills. The 50K is six roughly 5-mile loops and the 25K is three roughly 5-mile loops. Each loop includes two aid stations. Course elevation is about 400 feet of gain per loop. The event has an overall course limit of 8 hours and organizers do not allow pacers for any distance.
Logistics and other details
The start and finish are at the Regal Beagle, 4240 Ira Rd, with parking directed toward the University of Akron Field Station. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at the Regal Beagle; limited race-day packet pickup is available at the start/finish area. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Bath Nature Preserve and the University of Akron Field Station and may support capital improvements and programming. All finishers receive a custom finisher gift and a Regal Beagle medal. Awards include overall and masters winners for each distance, age-group awards, and cash bonuses for new course records in the 50K and 25K; course records and overall awards are determined by gun time.
