Green YMCA Turkey Trot 5K and 1 Mile
The Green YMCA presents an annual Turkey Trot featuring a 5K run/walk and a 1 mile fun run/walk held on Thanksgiving morning in late November at Green Memorial Stadium, 1737 Steese Road, Uniontown (Green), Ohio 44685. The event raises funds for college scholarships for Green High School seniors; to date the group has donated over $41,000 in scholarships.

Registration uses two tiers. For the 5K the preregistration fee is $30 and the regular fee is $35; for the 1 mile preregistration is $15 and the regular fee is $20. Pre-registration closes on November 12 and regular registration closes on November 25. There is no day of race registration.
Packet pickup is available early between November 13 and November 25 at Green Family YMCA, 3800 Massillon Road, Uniontown, with weekday and weekend pickup hours. Race day packet pickup is available at Green Memorial Stadium on the event morning.
Stadium parking will be closed; participants are directed to park at the Middle School/CORE lot at 1711 Steese Road, at the Central Administration Building, or along Town Park Boulevard. Town Park Boulevard will close in the morning and some traffic restrictions will be in place near Steese Road.
Awards for the 5K include top 3 male and female in each age class and top 3 overall; age brackets start at 14 and under and continue in standard ranges to 70 and up. The 1 mile recognizes the top 4 finishers. There is a postrace prize drawing; canned food donations convert to drawing tickets at a rate of three items per ticket and will be donated to the Akron Canton Foodbank.
