Gennesaret’s Home Run for the Homeless
The 35th Annual Home Run for the Homeless takes place November 26-27, 2026, at 419 W. Exchange Street, Akron, Ohio. The event offers both in-person and virtual options for short distances.
Available distances and formats:
- 4 Miles - in person and virtual
- 1 Mile - in person and virtual
Registration opens August 1, 2026. In-person registration fees are $30 for the 4-mile event and $5 for the 1-mile event. Virtual registration fees are $25 for the 4-mile event and $5 for the 1-mile event. Registration closes on November 26, 2026.
Virtual participants receive a virtual bib and finisher certificate and may complete their distance on Thanksgiving morning or anytime during November.
The event is organized to support families in need. The organizer provides interim housing, food, training, and support services for families working to improve their living conditions. The work is carried out without government funding or paid staff and is informed by Christian principles, while not promoting any religious organization or practices.
