Event overview
The Hard Yard takes place on Saturday 26th September 2026 at Chilton Manor Farm, Chilton Candover, Alresford SO24 9TX (access to event parking via Dundridge Lane; What3Words ///silver.formless.obstruct). The event features a main trail race and a new kids race. Entry fees are listed as £30 for the 10 mile and £5 for the 1 km kids run. The 10 mile minimum age on the day of entry is 18. The venue is family owned and includes an 800-year-old Yew avenue used as the start and finishing straight.

Course, services and facilities
The 10 mile route uses wide gravel tracks, shale paths, field sidings and compact rural paths, and includes single-track sections through Furzedown Wood with views toward Winchester and the South Downs. The finishing straight is a 1 mile Yew tree-lined avenue. Water is provided at the start, finish and halfway on the 10 mile route. Race services include sustainable finishers medals, race timing with live results, race photography and event medics. The site has a pop-up cafe and The Yard Cafe, toilets near the start and finish, event parking (paid at the gate) and no secure baggage area. The event is dog friendly and includes sustainability measures such as shoe recycling, cupless water stations and sustainable medals.
