Basingstoke Summer Running Festival - Race 1
The Basingstoke Summer Running Festival is a two race summer series held at War Memorial Park, Crossborough Hill, Basingstoke RG21 4AG. The series comprises two separate evening events in 2026: Race 1 on 13 August called the Sunshine Run and Race 2 on 10 September called the Festival Run. Each event is organised as an individual race so entries are taken per event.
Each event begins with a Junior 1 mile Dash followed by adult races for ages 15 and over in the following distances:
- Junior 1 mile Dash
- 5 km
- 10 km
Ticketing information shows single event entries for junior and adult races and options to purchase entries for both races. Single race adult entries are listed at about £24 and junior entries at about £9.75. Two race combined entries are listed at about £43 for adults and £18 for juniors. Bibs can be collected on the day and wearing a racing bib is required to take part. A prize is offered for participants who complete both races. A separate prize draw is scheduled for 11 September 2026 with entries priced at £1.50 each or five for £5; listed draw prizes include a £50 Alton Sports voucher, HUEL starter packs, T shirts and a family entry to a reindeer run.
