Harting Multi-Terrain '10'
The Harting Multi-Terrain '10' is staged by Liss Runners volunteers as a community running event. The course is a 10-mile multi terrain route through the South Downs National Park, using private lanes, gravel tracks, bridleways and footpaths. The route has mile markers and two water stations.
All finishers receive a unique medal at the line. Spot prizes include a chance to win one of two pairs of Hoka trainers donated by race sponsors. Trophies and cash prizes are awarded to 1st to 3rd male and female overall and to the first male and female in each vets category V40, V50, V60 and V70.
Race headquarters are at the War Memorial Sports Ground, Petersfield Road, South Harting. Venue facilities include free parking on the sports field, portable loos and toilets in the Pavilion, supervised storage for bags and a selection of teas, cold drinks and home-made cakes served from the Pavilion. A free kids fun run for ages 4 to 14 takes place on the sports field while the main race runs, with medals for all child participants.
Restrictions and race management notes: entrants must be at least 18 years old to enter the main race; no running with dogs, buggies or headphones. Entrants should be able to complete the course within a maximum of two hours 30 minutes; runners behind schedule at the 2nd water station (6.5 miles) may be asked to withdraw and be taken back to the finish by car. The race is organised under England Athletics permit number 31272 issued by Run Events. Race numbers are distributed on the day at the registration desk. Entry fees are non refundable but entries can be transferred up to midnight on the Friday before the event via the booking confirmation link.
