The Great Yarmouth Promenade 5 Mile Series - Race 2 is part of a three-race series in 2026. The course is a measured 5 miles on the Great Yarmouth Promenade. The route is described as completely flat and traffic-free.
Registration and Fees
Entry fees are frozen from the previous year. For a single race, the cost is £16 for affiliated runners and £18 for non-affiliated runners. A discount is available for those booking all three series races together. A donation of 50p from every entry goes to the charity Pathway.
Practical Information
The minimum age to participate is 15 years on race day. Race Headquarters is at the Marina Centre on Marine Parade. Free on-road parking is available after 6pm, and there are car parks along the seafront. Toilet facilities are available at the HQ. The start and finish area is near the sealife centre, a short walk from the HQ. An unmanned bag drop area is provided in the sports hall, and lockers are available at the leisure centre.
Race Rules and Features
Chip timing is provided. For safety, runners must write their name, emergency contact, and medical details on the back of their race number. The use of headphones, including bone-conduction types, is not permitted. The course is fully marshalled and signposted but is not suitable for wheelchairs, buggies, or pets. Medical support is provided on-site.
Prizes
All finishers receive a medal. The 2026 medals are interlocking; collecting all three from the series creates a full set. Trophies are awarded to the top two male and female finishers.
