The Great Yarmouth Promenade 5 Mile Series - Race 2
The event is a 5 mile road race held on Great Yarmouth Promenade under UKA Race Licence 30870. The course is measured as TBC and is described as completely flat, traffic free, fully marshalled, and signposted with potential for personal best performances. The route is not suitable for wheelchairs, buggies, or pets.
Race dates in the series are 15 April, 29 April, and 13 May 2026. Minimum age is 15 years on race day. Transfers to another runner are available until 22 April 2026; refunds and deferrals are not available.
Race headquarters are at the Marina Centre, Marine Parade, Great Yarmouth NR30 2ER. There are toilet facilities at the venue. The start and finish are near the sea life centre and are a short walk from race HQ. A bag area will be available inside the sports hall but it will be unmanned; lockers at the leisure centre can be used if required. As the race is in the evening there are no parking charges on the road after 6pm and there are multiple seafront car parks.
Chip timing is provided by Total Race Timing. All runners must write their name, an emergency contact, and medical details on the back of their race number. Headphones including bone conduction devices are not permitted in line with England Athletics rules. Medical support is provided by MedPTS.
All finishers receive an interlocking medal; collecting the three parts completes a set. Trophies are awarded to the top two male and female finishers, plus age category awards and team prizes for senior and veteran men and women. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
