The Great Yarmouth Promenade 5 Mile Series - Race 2
The Great Yarmouth Promenade 5 Mile Series returns for 2026, featuring three separate race dates in April and May. This specific event is the second race in the series. The course consists of a 5 mile route located on the Great Yarmouth Promenade. The path is completely flat, traffic-free, and fully marshalled and signposted for participants.
The event operates under a UKA Race Licence and utilizes chip timing. In accordance with England Athletics rules, headphones, including bone-conduction types, are not permitted during the race. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs, buggies, or pets. Participants must be at least 15 years old on the day of the race.
Race headquarters are located at the Marina Centre on Marine Parade, with the start and finish area situated nearby the Sealife Centre. Facilities at the headquarters include toilets and an unmanned bag storage area within the sports hall, though lockers are also available at the leisure centre. Parking is available along the seafront, where roadside charges do not apply after 6pm.
Recognition and rewards for participants include:
- 5 mile individual race
- Interlocking medals for all finishers that form a complete set when all three races in the series are finished.
- Trophies for the top two male and female finishers.
- Age category awards for the top two male and female runners in each category.
- Team prizes for senior and veteran male and female teams of three runners.
