Event overview

The Holy Trail Ultra Festival takes place on 9 May 2026 in Lowestoft, Suffolk. The event is organised by Boghopper Races Ltd and is the inaugural edition. The main venue is Nicholas Everitt Park, The Pavilion, Oulton Broad, NR33 9JR.

Races

  • 50 mile - circular route; starts and finishes at Nicholas Everitt Park; 15 hour limit.
  • 50 km - starts at Holton Village Hall; finishes at Nicholas Everitt Park; 10 hour limit.

Entries and fees

Entries open 1 June 2025 and close 18 April 2026. Minimum age for both distances is 20 years. Entries so far: 49 participants. Transfers of an entry to another participant are allowed until 25 April 2026. Entry fees listed are: UKA member 50 Mile £105, Non member 50 Mile £107, UKA member 50 KM £70, Non member 50 KM £72. No extra admin or processing fees are charged.

Services, categories and logistics

Race entry includes a unique medal, food and drink at checkpoints, GPS tracking, first aid, a light meal and hot drinks at the finish, and prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Female and Male/Open categories. A t-shirt is available to purchase with entry. The event is LGBT and non-binary friendly; entries may be submitted as Female, Male or non-binary (Male/Open category). The race is licensed by the Trail Runners Association and held under UK Athletics rules; permit number is to be confirmed. Railway stations are a short walk from the start and finish.
