Event overview

The 2026 Holy Trail Ultra Festival takes place on 9 May 2026 at Nicholas Everitt Park, Oulton Broad, Lowestoft, Suffolk. The event is organised by Boghopper Races Ltd and is licensed by the Trail Runners Association and held under UK Athletics rules (permit number tbc). Distances offered are:

  • 50 Mile - circular route, starts and finishes at Nicholas Everitt Park; 15 hour time limit.
  • 50 KM - starts at Holton Village Hall and finishes at Nicholas Everitt Park; 10 hour time limit.

Entries, eligibility and services

Entries open on 1 June 2025 and close on 18 April 2026. There were 41 participants listed at the time of this posting. Minimum age for both distances is 20 years. Deferrals are not allowed; transfers or sale of an entry via SiEntries are permitted until 25 April 2026. Entry fees listed include UKA and non-member prices: 50 Mile (£105 / £107) and 50 KM (£70 / £72). The entry package includes a medal, food and drink at checkpoints, GPS tracking, first aid, a light meal and hot drinks at the finish, and prizes for the first three finishers in each Female and Male/Open category.
