The 2026 Holy Trail Festival of Running is scheduled for Saturday 9 May 2026 at Nicholas Everitt Park, The Pavilion, Oulton Broad, Lowestoft, Suffolk. The event is organised by Boghopper Races Ltd and is limited to 400 participants. Entries open 1 June 2025 and close 18 April 2026.
The event is licensed by the Trail Runners Association and held under UK Athletics rules. Railway stations are a short walk from the start and finish. Deferrals are not allowed; transfers via SiEntries are permitted until 25 April 2026. A t-shirt purchase option is available.
Race format and services
- 50 Mile - circular route, starts and finishes at Nicholas Everitt Park; 15 hour limit
- 50 KM - starts at Holton Village Hall, finishes at Nicholas Everitt Park; 10 hour limit
- Full Trail Marathon - Holton Village Hall to Nicholas Everitt Park; 8 hour limit
Minimum ages: marathon 18 years, 50 km and 50 mile 20 years. Entry includes a medal, food and drink at checkpoints, first aid, a light meal and hot drinks at the finish, and prizes for 1st to 3rd in Female and Male/Open categories. GPS tracking is provided for the 50 mile and 50 km races; official timing is provided for the marathon only. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
