Angles Way Ultra - 100k
The Angles Way Ultra is a long-distance trail event along the Angles Way path, which follows the Waveney River valley through the broads on the Norfolk and Suffolk border between Thetford and Great Yarmouth. The 100k route runs from Diss to Great Yarmouth and finishes at Great Yarmouth Rugby Club, Cobholm Playing Fields.
The course is mostly flat with a few hills concentrated in the first half. Underfoot it is a mix of tracks, footpaths, short sections of road and sandy trails that tend to dry well. The route is fully waymarked with permanent Angles Way long distance path signage.
Support and facilities include eight checkpoints offering food and drink, medical cover and one drop bag checkpoint. The drop bag option allows mandatory kit to be placed at that location so it does not need to be carried at all times. Coach transport from the venue to the race start is included, and finishers receive an Angles Way Ultra 100k medal. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in each race.
Entry is online only and closes on 20 May 2026 or when the event is full. The entry fee is £105. A 50 percent refund is available for withdrawals made up to 11 April 2026; after that date there are no refunds, substitutions or deferrals. There is a checkpoint cut off that allows six hours for the final 19 miles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
