Event Overview
The Great Yarmouth Promenade 5 Mile Series returns for 2026, consisting of three evening races in April and May. All races are scheduled for 7:15 pm. Entry fees have been frozen from the previous year, with a donation of 50p from each entry going to the Pathway charity.
Practical Information
Venue: The Race HQ is the Marina Centre on Marine Parade in Great Yarmouth. The start and finish area is located near the sealife centre, a short walk from the HQ. Parking is available on nearby roads free of charge after 6pm, with ample car parks along the seafront. Facilities: Toilet facilities are available. Runners can leave bags in an unmanned section of the sports hall, though the leisure centre also has lockers available for use. Timing & Safety: The event features chip timing. Headphones, including bone-conduction types, are not permitted in line with England Athletics rules.
The Course
The course is a measured 5 miles run on Great Yarmouth Promenade. It is described as completely flat, traffic-free, and fully marshalled and signposted. The route is not suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs, or pets.
Registration Details
Participants must be at least 15 years old on race day. Transfers to another runner are available until 8th April 2026. Refunds and deferrals are not available. Race Dates:

Awards
All finishers receive a medal. For 2026, interlocking medals are offered, with a three-part medal forming a full set when all three series races are completed. Additional prizes include trophies for the top two male and female finishers, age category awards, and team prizes for senior and veteran categories. Medical support is provided on-site.
