The Great Yarmouth Promenade 5 Mile Series : Race 1
The event is the first of three evening races held on the Great Yarmouth Promenade in 2026, with further dates on 29 April and 13 May. It is a UKA licensed event (licence 30870) with course measurement listed as TBC. The route is 5 miles on a completely flat, traffic free promenade that is fully marshalled and signposted. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs, buggies, or pets.
Race HQ is at the Marina Centre, Marine Parade, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2ER. The start and finish area is near the sealife centre and a short walk from the centre. As the races take place in the evening, on-street parking is free after 6pm and there are several car parks along the sea front. Toilet facilities are available. A bag area will be provided inside the sports hall but it will be unmanned; the leisure centre has lockers if required.
Chip timing is provided by Total Race Timing. All runners must write their name, an emergency contact, and medical details on the back of their race number. Headphones including bone conduction devices are not permitted in line with England Athletics rules. Medical support is provided by MedPTS.
Minimum age is 15 years on race day. Refunds and deferrals are not available and the transfer window is closed. Fifty pence from every entry will be donated to Pathway. Prizes include an interlocking medal for each finish and trophies and age and team awards for top finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
