The Great Yarmouth Promenade 5 Mile Series
The Great Yarmouth Promenade 5 Mile Series returns for 2026, featuring three separate race dates on April 15, April 29, and May 13. Each event follows a 5 mile course located on the Great Yarmouth Promenade. The route is completely flat, traffic-free, and fully signposted with marshals stationed throughout.
The event is held under a UKA Race Licence. Participants must be at least 15 years old on the day of the race. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs, buggies, or pets. Due to England Athletics rules, the use of headphones, including bone-conduction types, is not permitted during the race.
Race headquarters are located at the Marina Centre on Marine Parade, with the start and finish area situated nearby the Sea Life Centre. Facilities at the leisure center include toilets and lockers, alongside an unmanned bag drop area in the sports hall. For those traveling by car, there are various car parks along the seafront, and on-road parking charges typically end after 6:00 pm.
Timing is recorded using electronic chips. All finishers receive a medal, and those participating in the full three-race series can collect interlocking medals that form a complete set. Awards are presented to the top two male and female finishers, the top two runners in each age category, and winning teams of three in the senior and veteran divisions. A portion of every entry fee is donated to the Pathway charity.
