The Gobbler Classic 5K Run/Walk
The Gobbler Classic is a community 5K run and walk held on November 26, 2026 at Faith Church Dyer, 100 81st Ave, Dyer, IN 46311. This is the 22nd annual edition of the event. The event raises funds for local food pantries in Faith Church communities and reported raising over $30,000 in the previous year.
Registration opens on September 12, 2026 and closes on October 26, 2026. The registration fee is $30. Shirts are guaranteed for the first 1,050 registrants, though sizing is not guaranteed and quantities are limited. Packet pickup will be available on Tuesday, November 24 and Wednesday, November 25.
Awards are presented to male and female winners in each age bracket and to overall male and female winners. Age brackets include: 9 and under; 10 to 14; 15 to 19; 20 to 24; 25 to 29; 30 to 34; 35 to 39; 40 to 44; 45 to 49; 50 to 54; 55 to 59; 60 to 64; and 65 and older.
Strollers are permitted on the 5K route, with those using strollers asked to line up with walkers or behind runners if running. Dogs and drones are not allowed on Faith Church property during the event. Volunteers are requested to assist with roles such as check-in, route marshals, beverage setup and giveaway distribution.
