Orland Park Turkey Trot
Orland Park's annual Turkey Trot is a timed, chip-timed cross country race held on Thanksgiving morning. The 2.5 mile course runs through paved streets, paths, and wooded areas near the Village Hall and Franklin Loebe Center at 14650 S. Ravinia Avenue in Orland Park, Illinois. The event accommodates runners and walkers and is organized as a single distance race.
Registration has limits and filled in advance the previous year. The event fee is $25 and is non-refundable. No day of race registration is accepted, and those 18 years and older must sign their own registration form. Registration closes when the event is full or by the stated deadline.
All participants receive a long-sleeve dri-fit race shirt and are entered into the post race raffle. Prize turkeys are awarded to the top overall male and female finishers, and to the top three finishers in each of 14 age groups for male and female competitors, ranging from U9 to 70 plus.
