The Crunchwrap Crawl
The Crunchwrap Crawl is a novelty running event in Kennewick, WA that combines a road course with multiple restaurant stops. The event offers two distance options:
- 50K
- 42 miles (8 Taco Bell stops option)
Entrants follow a prescribed route that visits seven Taco Bell locations or, if chosen, an eighth local Taco Bell. Runners must walk into each restaurant and eat a menu item from Taco Bell at every stop. Drive-thru service is not allowed. Food may be carried and eaten along the course, but littering is prohibited. Some stops are co-located with other chains, but only Taco Bell menu items count.
Ordering of menu items is not allowed before the race begins; ordering must start when the race clock starts. The race clock does not stop until the final food item is finished. By the finish, entrants must have consumed at least one Chalupa Supreme or one Crunchwrap Supreme, and at least one Burrito Supreme or one Nachos Bell Grande. Drinks do not count as food. Entrants must keep receipts, wrappers, or photos as proof and present them at the finish, and must provide GPS proof that they covered the course. Dietary restrictions may be allowed with prior approval. Safety rules include following the rules of the road, looking both ways at crossings, and trying to run against traffic. Entrants should arrive at the start at least 30 minutes before the race begins. The stated time limit is 11 hours. Additional rules may be added to preserve the event intent.
