About the Event
The Chamna Chase is a running event in the Chamna Natural Preserve on October 24, 2026. It offers three race distances: a half marathon, a 10K, and a 6K. Halloween costumes are encouraged, with potential prizes for the best costumes. Participants can purchase a race T-shirt with registration if ordered by September 15.
After the race, there will be awards and snacks for all entrants, along with special prizes from sponsors. The event is described as a family event where dogs on leashes are welcome.
The Course
The courses use as much dirt trail as possible, with occasional rocks. The half marathon and 10K include some pavement sections. The routes will be marked with fluorescent tape, and course maps will be emailed to entrants before race day.
- The half marathon is a double out-and-back with a loop in the middle.
- The 10K follows the first out-and-back and the loop of the half marathon course.
- The 6K is a single big loop.
