Chamna Chase - Richland, WA
The event is a trail and mixed-surface race held in the Chamna Natural Preserve near 1200 Carrier Rd, Richland, Washington. Distances offered are:
- 1/2 Marathon
- 10K
- 6K
The half marathon follows a double out and back with a loop in the middle. The 10K uses the first out and back plus the half marathon loop. The 6K is a large loop. Courses use as much dirt trail as possible, with some rocky sections; the half marathon and 10K include short paved sections. Courses are marked with fluorescent tape and course maps will be emailed to entrants before race day.
Halloween costumes are strongly encouraged and may be eligible for prizes. Race T-shirts are available for purchase with an order deadline of September 15 to allow time for printing. Awards and snacks are provided for entrants after the race, and additional prizes from sponsors may be awarded. Dogs are permitted on course but must remain on a leash. The event is described as a family-oriented gathering where people can watch and support finishers.
