Tri-Cities Marathon - Richland, WA

The Tri-Cities Marathon will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, with the Riverfront Hotel in Richland serving as the event location. The event includes a full marathon, a half marathon, and a marathon relay for teams of up to four runners.

  • Marathon (26.2 miles)
  • Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
  • Marathon Relay (team up to four)

The half marathon is a 6.55 mile out-and-back into Pasco and is USATF certified through 2027. The marathon follows the Pasco river trail, crosses the Cable Bridge into Kennewick, continues on Columbia Park Trail and 240 side path toward Chamna Park, then returns to Richland; USATF certification for the marathon course is in progress. Relay exchanges are at Road 54 parking in Pasco, the Columbia Park turn in Kennewick, and the east end of Carrier Road in Richland. Parking is described as generous at the exchange points and teams are responsible for their own transport.

Course details: mostly flat except for bridges, with the final 8 miles of the marathon slightly rolling and an elevation gain of about 400 ft. All turns will be marked and there will be mile and 5 km markers. Aid stations are provided approximately every 2 miles, stocked with water, electrolytes, energy gels and snacks; the marathon has about 12 stations and the half about 6. Restrooms are placed at multiple course locations.

Registration uses tiered pricing with Super Early Bird, Early Bird, Standard and Late windows and fees vary by distance. Each entry fee includes full course support, an event t-shirt, a finisher's medal and fully automatic chip timing. Packet pickup and late registration occur on the days before the race and on race morning. Volunteer support is requested, with about 70 to 90 volunteers needed. Awards include finisher medals for all finishers, special medals for top three men and women in both full and half distances, age group prizes, and awards for relay teams. A Director's Award recognizes notable displays of sportsmanship or perseverance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
