Tri-Cities Marathon - Richland, WA - October 25, 2026
The event offers three entry options:
- Marathon - 26.2 Miles
- Marathon Relay - 26.2 Miles, teams up to four runners
- Half Marathon - 13.1 Miles
The venue is the Riverfront Hotel in Richland. The Half Marathon is an out-and-back into Pasco with a turnaround near the Road 54 boat launch and is USATF certified through 2027. The Marathon returns to the route used from 2005 to 2023 with minor changes; certification is expected by Summer 2026. Relay exchange points are at the Road 54 boat launch and near the Columbia Park Bandshell in Kennewick. Parking is described as generous at exchange areas and teams are responsible for their own transport between exchanges.
Aid stations are approximately every two miles. The Marathon will have at least eight aid stations passed a total of 12 times; the Half shares the first three stations passed twice. Stations will carry water, electrolytes, assorted solid nutrition, some energy gels, and first aid kits. Restrooms will be a mix of permanent and portable units at or near most aid stations.
Course terrain is mostly flat apart from bridge ramps; the last bridge begins about two miles from the finish. Elevation gain for the Marathon is about 400 feet. Every turn will be marked and mile and 5 km markers will be provided. Entry fees vary by registration period and include a shirt, finisher medal, chip timing, and course support. An Athlete's Guide and an awards program including finisher medals and age group prizes are part of the event. Volunteer support is required to staff aid stations and course positions.
