Día de los Muertos Pasco Fund Run
The ninth annual Día de los Muertos Fund Run is a fundraising race on October 31, 2026, that supports scholarships for local students. Proceeds assist a local senior's college education and help build a scholarship endowment at Columbia Basin College. Over the last eight years the event has generated more than $70,000 in scholarships, and an endowment of $25,000 was established with Columbia Basin College.
Participants can choose from multiple distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half marathon
- Kids run
The 5 km course starts in historic downtown Pasco with mariachi music, follows train tracks south to the urban green trail, and passes under the white bridge before a turnaround. The 10 km follows the same start, crosses the cable bridge into Kennewick, reaches the Clover Island lighthouse, and includes an additional mariachi band near the Lampson building. The event presents course experiences in both directions.
Race day features family-oriented activities such as face painting, sugar skull painting, and Lotería, along with live music and a Ballet Folklórico performance.
