MCCM Monster Mash 5k & Creature Crawl 1k
The Mid-Columbia Children's Museum presents a Halloween-themed community run and family event on October 24, 2026, at Howard Amon Park in Richland, Washington. The event supports the future Mid-Columbia Children's Museum and includes running and activity options for different age groups.
- 5K out and back course with a staffed drink station at the halfway turnaround.
- 1K closed loop course with trick or treat stations and volunteers along the route.
Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each category. Registration for the 5K and 1K events includes complimentary cider, coffee, and donuts; some categories also include face painting. The Creature Crawl 1K offers trick or treat stations, a swag bag with goodies, and an event shirt if registration is completed by October 2, 2026.
Registration opens September 5, 2026. Some event registration closes October 1, 2026, while other categories close October 25, 2026. Posted registration fees vary by category and age group, including a $20 fee for the 5K (ages 13 and up), $10 fees for child categories and the Creature Crawl, and a $1 option for accompanying adult chaperones.
