MLK Jr. Freedom Run 5K/10K/13.1 Kansas City
This event is an annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day run held at Mill Creek Park on Broadway Boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri. It is presented as a community run to honor the legacy of Dr. King and to combine running with reflection on social justice and community support.
The event offers multiple on site distances and a virtual option. It is structured as smaller, capped group waves; waves are filled on a first come first serve basis and participants may join a waitlist or choose the virtual option if waves are full. Timing is optional: participants may track time with apps and submit results for posting, and coordinators can assist with timekeeping. No timing chips are used.

Participants receive a swag bag shipped to their US mailing address that can include a running T shirt, finisher towel or giveaway, finisher medal, and a digital training pack.
