Event Overview
The Run for Mental Health event in Kansas City takes place at Mill Creek Park on Broadway Boulevard. The event is scheduled for September 12, 2026.
Distances
Participants can choose from multiple distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1)
- Virtual Run
- Family 1 Mile Fun Run
It is described as a smaller, private group run with a participant cap per wave. All paces and ages are welcome, with participants under 18 requiring a guardian. The run has a stress-free setting with no official timing chips. Participants may track their own time with an app and submit it via a form.
Registration and Swag
Registration fees are listed and are inclusive of mandatory charges. Participants receive a swag bag that includes a running t-shirt shipped to a US address, a finisher's medal, a finisher's towel or giveaway, and a digital training pack. Race bibs are provided on event day. Technical running shirts are available as an optional upgrade for $5 more.
Event Logistics
Packet pickup is not required; all swag is shipped directly. A final update with course maps is emailed the Wednesday before the race. Late registrations (within two weeks of the race) are accepted, but shirts may arrive after the event. The run operates in timed waves (Wave A, B, C) on a first-come, first-served basis. Coordinators stay for 3 hours after the first wave for late arrivals.
A virtual run option is available, which can be completed at any time and place, with results submitted by email to receive a medal. The event offers a race bundle discount for signing up for multiple races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
