Patriots Run
Patriots Run is an annual event held at the Aspiria Campus in Overland Park, Kansas, on September 12, 2026. The event aims to honor those who run into danger and to pay tribute to lives lost protecting freedoms. It includes multiple individual and team competitions on a measured loop course.
The event features the following races:
- 5K Run : 2 full laps plus 0.1 mile to total 3.1 miles.
- Half Marathon : 8 full laps plus 1.1 miles to total 13.1 miles.
- Marathon : 17 full laps plus 0.5 mile to total 26.2 miles.
- Ultra Marathon : individual runners complete as many 1.5 mile laps as possible in 9 hours and 11 minutes.
- Heavy Team Relay : teams up to 5 runners carry rucksacks with required weights.
- Light Team Relay : teams up to 5 runners compete relay style for maximum laps.
Relay teams must provide their own rucksack and meet minimum fundraising or donation of $500 per team to participate. Heavy team rucksack weight requirements are specified by division. Teams have a designated pit area and may use one 10 by 10 tent for rest and equipment. The ultra and relay formats have a fixed 9 hour and 11 minute competition window; there is no minimum distance requirement for those events.
Placement awards are listed for individual events, with monetary awards for first through third place in several race divisions. Packet pickup takes place prior to race day at specified locations.
