National Chocolate Day: Run for Chocolates : San Diego
The event is a community running series at Mission Point in San Diego on September 12, 2026. It offers in-person and virtual participation and includes multiple distance options. Online registration for this edition is closed.
This is organized as smaller, capped waves with a first come, first served policy for wave placement. Timing is optional: participants may track their own time with apps and submit results for posting, or request assistance from event coordinators. No timing chips are used. Coordinators remain on site for three hours after the first wave.
Swag and finish items are provided. Items include a running T-shirt shipped within the US, a finisher towel or giveaway, a finisher medal, and a digital training pack. Technical running shirts are available as an optional upgrade for an additional fee. Race bibs are provided on race day and online results plus a certificate of completion are available. Virtual entrants receive a digital training pack and may submit results to receive a medal.
The event includes a family 1 mile fun run and fundraising options tied to charity initiatives. Packet pickup is not required because participant swag is mailed to the address provided during registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
