San Diego Tri Classic & San Diego 5K
The San Diego Tri Classic & San Diego 5K takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Liberty Station in San Diego (2455 Cushing Rd, 92106). The program includes multiple multisport formats and a separate 5K road race.
The swim occurs in the calm waters of San Diego Bay. Bike routes pass through Point Loma and Rosecrans National Cemetery. Run routes follow waterfront trails at Liberty Station and pass a retired battleship; run segments are described as flat waterfront courses. The event includes a post-race celebration and a community presence around the finish area.

- Olympic triathlon: 1500M swim, 40K bike, 10K run
- Sprint triathlon: 500M swim, 20K bike, 5K run
- Relay Olympic: 3-person team at Olympic distances
- Aquabike Olympic: 1500M swim, 40K bike
- Aquabike Sprint: 500M swim, 20K bike
- Duathlon Sprint: 1 mile run, 20K bike, 5K run
- Aquathlon Sprint: 500M swim, 5K run
- San Diego 5K: standalone running event
Race apparel and awards include a 16-oz Moscow Mule copper cup finish medal on a removable key lanyard (the 5K has a separate medal), a microfiber transition towel with a race checklist, and a sport-cut USA themed finisher tank top.
