2026 California San Diego 5K SCADaddle for Research
The event is a timed 5K run/walk on the south side of Crown Point Park, located at 3700 Corona Oriente Road in San Diego. The course follows the bay side walkway along Mission Bay. Free parking is available at the park.
Awards are planned for overall male and female winners. Medals or recognition will be given to second and third place males and females overall and to the top three males and females across multiple age categories. After the 5K there will be food from Alohana Acai Bowls prepared to order, face painting, and vendors including the SCAD store.
A social reunion dinner for SCAD survivors, supporters, and families takes place at the Marina Village Conference Center, 1936 Quivira Way, San Diego. A Mayo Clinic physician will present recent research on SCAD and related arteriopathies such as Fibromuscular Dysplasia and will answer questions as time allows.
An online silent auction runs during the week around the event with items such as jewelry, zoo passes, restaurant and retail gift cards, and other experiences. Auction donations are accepted through early September. Sponsorship opportunities are available at various levels, with a listed deadline in late August. The event supports research into Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
