About the race
Sloth Run 5K/10K/13.1 SAN ANTONIO is a community road run at Olmos Basin Park on Devine Road in San Antonio, Texas, held April 10, 2027. The event offers multiple distance options and a small-field, wave-based format so the course stays uncrowded and informal.
Distances include:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half‑marathon 13.1
- Virtual Run
- Family 1 Mile Fun Run
The event limits entries per wave; waves often fill quickly and a waitlist or virtual option is available once waves sell out. Timing chips are not used. Participants may track time with apps such as Strava, RunKeeper, or Nike Run and submit results for posting, or ask a coordinator for help with timing. Coordinators remain on-site for three hours after the first wave to assist participants.
Registered participants receive a mailed running T-shirt within the U.S., a finisher medal, a virtual training run sent by email about a month before the event, online results and a certificate of completion, and an invitation to join a local run club. Packet pickup is minimal since most swag ships to participants; race bibs are handed out on race day. A lightweight technical shirt upgrade is available for an additional fee. Sponsors include Cure Hydration, KaChava, Runforothers, and KeepGoingRun. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
