San Antonio Food Bank Turkey Trot
The San Antonio Food Bank Turkey Trot is a community 5K run and walk held on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. The event benefits the San Antonio Food Bank; every registration provides a turkey for a family and registration fees support efforts to alleviate hunger in Southwest Texas.
The event is family and pet friendly. It is chip timed and offers custom race shirts. Finisher medals are awarded to the first 10,000 finishers. Awards include overall male and female based on gun time and 1st to 3rd place in 5 year age groups for chip timed results, with age groups from 12-15 through 80+.
Virtual participation is available; virtual runners may submit times and there is an option to run a virtual fundraiser. For fundraising, each dollar raised provides 10 pounds of food or seven meals.
Registration pricing is tiered: early registration through 10/31/26 is $40; 11/1/26 through 11/25/26 is $50; race day registration is $50. Children age 4 to 11 register for $10 with a paid adult; shirts are not included but may be purchased for $12 and these children are not eligible for awards. Children age 0 to 3 run free with a paid adult and may purchase a shirt for $12; they are not eligible for awards. A team registration option is available with a team captain workflow, and a 10% group discount applies when at least six paid registrants are in one cart.
The race is based at the Commander’s House, 622 S. Flores, San Antonio, TX 78204. Packet pick up is scheduled on several days the week before the event with venues to be determined, and race day registration and packet pick up begin at 7:00 AM at the race site.
