San Antonio Food Bank Turkey Trot
The San Antonio Food Bank Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day 5K run and walk held in San Antonio, Texas. The event supports the San Antonio Food Bank; each registration provides a turkey for a family facing hunger during the holiday season.
The event is family and pet friendly. The race is chip timed and offers custom race shirts and finisher medals for the first 10,000 finishers. Awards include overall male and female winners by gun time and 1st–3rd place in 5-year age groups (chip timed) from 12–15 through 80+.
Virtual participation is available: virtual runners can submit times for ranking in the virtual category. A virtual fundraising option is also available; fundraising materials state that every $1 raised provides 10 pounds of food or 7 meals.
Registration pricing is tiered: early registration through 10/31/26 is $40; 11/1/26 through 11/25/26 and race day registration are $50. Children ages 4–11 register for $10 with a paid adult (shirt not included; shirt available for purchase). Children ages 0–3 run free with a paid adult (shirt not included; shirt available for purchase). A 10% group discount applies when at least six paid registrants are purchased in the same cart. Team registration uses a team captain to create and add teammates.
Packet pick-up is scheduled on multiple days prior to race day with venues listed as TBD. The event location is Commander’s House, 622 S. Flores, San Antonio, TX 78204. Parking options include nearby H-E-B lots and garages, Bexar County Parking Garage, UTSA Lot D3 & Durango, and Opportunity Home San Antonio.
